Founded in 1924, Hooker Furniture Corporation is a Virginia based home furnishings company that designs, imports, manufactures and markets residential household furniture products. The company operates in two segments namely, casegoods furniture and upholstered furniture, sold through independent furniture stores, specialty retailers, department stores, catalog, internet and national/regional chains. Hooker Furniture needed a scalable ERP solution with configure-to-order capabilities to grow its multi-brand furniture business. Hooker Furniture, one of the largest publicly-traded furniture companies, embarked on a multi-year ERP project in 2010—internally branded as “Horizon” with the slogan, “Destination: One.” Hooker Furniture had acquired several furniture companies, each with its own legacy ERP systems, and lacked visibility and continuity across the company. The company needed a single solution that would allow all divisions to optimize their unique process while still operating as one company, with ‘one face to the customer’.

Sunrise deployed Microsoft Dynamics AX to run full financials and supply chain for the case goods and upholstery operations, including several different sourcing models, manufacturing, shop floor control, warehousing, product configurations, and an eCommerce integration with Hooker's new online furniture brand, Homeware. The project also added the H Contact division and integrated to a new forecasting system.

Sunrise assisted with Go Lives in North America and Asia across multiple brands, including Hooker Furniture, Sam Moore, and Bradington-Young to complete the One Company vision. Microsoft Dynamics AX runs its full financials and supply chain, including manufacturing, shop floor control, warehouse, product configurations, and eCommerce integration with the online brand, Homeware.
