Beverage Air’s journey with Sunrise began with the successful implementation of Microsoft Dynamics AX 2009, transitioning from Beverage Air’s previous AS 400 platform. After implementing Dynamics AX, Beverage Air relied on Sunrise for ongoing support and expertise in optimizing its ERP solutions. Following a decade of growth, Beverage Air once again worked with Sunrise to upgrade to Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain in the cloud.

Challenges

Beverage-Air’s Dynamics AX 2009 platform had served the organization well but required increasing effort to maintain and extend. As a complex manufacturer, Beverage-Air needed a modern foundation to support growth, standardize processes across production and distribution, and take fuller advantage of the Microsoft landscape — particularly in planning and warehouse management. With a long-tenured IT and operations team deeply familiar with the platform, the company was well positioned to move to the cloud.

SOLUTION

Beverage-Air worked with Sunrise to upgrade to Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance and Supply Chain Management, drawing on a partnership that spans more than a decade. Sunrise led the modernization while carrying forward the flexible, lean production model Beverage-Air had built as a leader in its market — including its custom production release and fabrication rescheduling capabilities and FIFO production completion. The solution included:

  • Modernized production scheduling that preserved Beverage-Air’s make-to-order flexibility on a standard Dynamics 365 foundation
  • Advanced Warehousing, replacing custom mobile scanning with a standardized, accuracy-driven warehouse process
  • Integration management via Sunrise IP to connect Dynamics 365 across the business
  • A move toward Power BI for reporting, alongside Atlas and SSRS, consolidating more than 200 legacy reports into a prioritized, streamlined set
  • Structured scope prioritization, extensions, and change management guided by the long-standing Sunrise–Beverage-Air relationship

OUTCOME

Beverage-Air now operates on a scalable, modern cloud platform built to support continued growth. The business benefits from improved warehouse execution, enhanced planning, and streamlined reporting, giving leadership clearer visibility and stronger operational control. Following go-live, Beverage-Air’s warehouse team adopted the new processes and reached a stable, steady state, and the two organizations have carried their partnership into an ongoing phase of enhancements.
